Khortytsa Vodka owner invests in US business
By Becky PaskinGlobal Spirits, owner of the Khortytsa Vodka brand, has renamed and restructured its US operation to meet growing demand in the market.
Global Spirits is ramping up distribution of its key brands, like Khortytsa Vodka, in the USThe company formerly trading as Megapolis USA as an affiliate of Global Spirits, will now operate as Global Spirits USA.
Heading the venture will be CEO Maxim Dubossarsky, who will lead growth of the group’s key strategic brands in the region, including Khortytsa, Morosha Vodka, Pervak Vodka and LEAF Vodka.
Reporting into Dubossarsky is newly-appointed national sales director Steve Ackerman, who will lead an expanded wine and spirits sales team across the US.
As part of the expansion, Global Spirits USA has appointed several new regional managers, as well as a brand manager.
The changes, according to Ackerman, are to “position the organization for rapid and continued growth in the US”.
Global Spirits reported revenues of over US$900 million in 2013, up 17% on the previous year.
