Feminine makeover for Jago’s cream liqueur

Distil, formerly known as Blavod, has re-launched Jago’s Vanilla Cream Liqueur in the UK following a company remodelling strategy.

Jago’s is now housed in a sleek, feminine bottle designed to premiumise the vanilla cream liqueur

Now packaged in an eye-catchingly sleek, teardrop-shaped purple bottle, Jago’s will be launched into the UK on- and off-trade this autumn.

The liqueur itself – developed by Tom Jago who helped develop Bailey’s, the world’s best-selling cream liqueur – is made with fresh dairy cream, Madagascan vanilla and five-times distilled vodka.

The re-launch will be supported by advertising in women’s interest magazines, social media, PR activity and sampling at consumer food and drink events.

Its re-launch follows a packaging update for Blackwoods Gin and Blackwoods Botanical Vodka in August last year.

Diva Vodka, which was acquired along with Jago in 2013, is also due an update and re-launch in the near future as Distil seeks to modernise its spirits portfolio.

The group, which changed its name to Distil earlier this year, also produces Blavod Black Vodka and RedLeg Rum.
