Amaro di Angostura will be launched in the US this autumnThe bitters and rum producer, based in Trinidad, is marking its anniversary with the new new release, set to hit US shelves nationwide in fall 2014.
Created using the Angostura aromatic bitters as a base, Amaro di Angostura combines additional spices and neutral alcohol for a 35% abv liqueur with notes of dark chocolate, cinnamon and liquorice.
Genevieve Jodhan, executive manager of international sales and marketing at Angostura, said: “Angostura aromatic bitters, which serves as the base for Amaro di Angostura, has a devoted following worldwide.
“We know our fans are passionate about trying new things and believe the amaro connoisseur will appreciate that our long-standing history provides the know-how to produce a new amaro that is one-of-a-kind, unmistakably from the House of Angostura.”
