Caipirinha-flavoured World Cup condoms launch

A special edition Caipirinha-flavoured condom has been created for the World CupLaunched by US company Prudence and manufactured Malaysian firm Karex, the condoms also sport the green and yellow national colours of Brazil and has been tipped as the unofficial World Cup contraceptive.
According to the Wall Street Journal, 700,000 packs of the condoms, costing 3.15 reais (83p), have been sold in Brazil’s supermarkerts and pharmacies since launching in February this year.
“Major sports or cultural events attract a great number of people and garner much attention, providing a good opportunity to spread a pleasurable and fun safe-sex message,” Daniel Marun Brazil’s director for DKT international, which handled to products’s design and marketing.
The Caipirinha is a traditional Brazilian cocktail made with cachaca, lime and sugar. Limited edition Prudence Caipirinha condoms are only available in Brazil.
