“Cool Brand” Bulldog Gin launches Bold sister

Bulldog London Dry Gin has released a bolder, higher abv expression alongside a new, sleeker bottle redesign aimed at the cocktail markets in New York and London.

Bulldog Bold Gin is a punchier version of its original sister

Bulldog Gin Bold is a 47% abv version of the brand’s original Bulldog London Dry Gin, which comes in at 40% abv.

Presented in a one-litre bottle – which despite having broad shoulders and an eye-catching spiked collar – has a sleeker look with a matte charcoal grey and purple finish.

The stronger Bulldog Gin Bold has been created from 12 different botanicals including Dragon Eye, White Poppy, Liquorice and Juniper. Distilled four times from 100% British grain, the gin is described as “bolder and fuller in flavour” than its “lighter-style” cousin.

Anshuman Vohra, CEO of Bulldog Gin, said: “Bold represents the next stage in our hand-crafted premium gin. Given the very successful test marketing in Scandinavia, we have decided to go on limited release in cocktail hotbeds NYC and London.

“What I envisioned – and I’m pleased to say that we’ve accomplished – is a gin with great character and a rich flavour that is enhanced as the additional proof allows our proprietary blend of botanicals to be more pronounced.”

To support the launch, Bulldog has appointed a new brand champion, Tom Finnon, who will represent the brand at trade shows and deliver training sessions.

The brand was also recently listed as a Cool Brand by the Centre for Brand Analysts, among the likes of Apple, Aston Martin and Mercedes-Benz.

Bulldog Gin Bold will be available In restricted quantities in New York and London at an RRP of £42.
