Uma Thurman picked as face of 2014 Campari Calendar

Campari has announced Hollywood actress Uma Thurman as the star of its iconic 2014 Campari Calendar, shot by fashion photographer Koto Bolofo.

Uma Thurman is the new face of the Campari Calendar 2014

Thurman, known for her roles in Kill Bill, Pulp Fiction and Batman & Robin, follows in the footsteps of Salma Hayek, Eva Mendes, Jessica Alba, Milla Jovovich and Penelope Cruz as the face of Campari’s 2014 calendar.

The 15th edition of the calendar, entitled ‘Worldwide Celebrations’, focuses each month on unique festivals throughout the world to show how cultures have become more global than ever.

To capture the theme, Campari has enlisted the skill of South African-born but UK-raised fashion photographer Bolofo, who has shot campaigns for luxury brands Louis Vuitton and Dior, as well as for publications Vogue, Vanity Fair, and GQ.

“The unrivalled legacy of the Campari Calendar is set to continue this year with the goal of delivering even more invigorating and inspiring imagery, said Bob Kunze-Concewitz, CEO of Campari. “Once again, boundaries will be pushed in order to stimulate people’s imaginations with a voyage of discovery each month to explore worldwide celebrations, and the theme this year couldn’t be more appropriate to do so.”

The 2014 Campari Calendar will be unveiled later on this year, and is expected to be less suggestive than previous editions, in line with last year’s calendar featuring actress Penelope Cruz in a series of demure shots.
