Blavod gives Blackwoods Gin a premium makeover
By Becky PaskinBlavod Drinks has redesigned Blackwoods Gin, the brand it acquired in June this year, to capitalise on the UK’s growing premium gin market.
Blackwoods Vintage Gin has ditched its ship logo in favour of a more rustic, natural styleThe new look has been created to reflect Blackwood’s heritage and status as a vintage gin, with the year of production clearly highlighted on the front of the label.
The brand logo has been inspired by the Isle of Shetland and formed from a hand-drawn tree featuring the gin’s botanicals in its branches.
“Blackwoods have always tried to incorporate the nature of the Shetland into its products and this is what we wanted to convey in the new logo. We’re thrilled with the new design and we have already received positive feedback from consumers.”
The new packaging design will be applied to both the Blackwoods 60% Gin and Blackwoods Botanical Vodka in the near future.
Blavod acquired Blackwoods Gin and Vodka from the administrators of the Shetland Spirits Company for £50,000, along with the Diva vodka and Jago vodka liqueur brands.
