Suntory Rolling Stones
But Crystal Head Vodka is not the only spirit group celebrating the half-centenary of the legendary band.
At the end of last year, Japanese drinks group Suntory released a series of Rolling Stones-themed alcoholic beverages including beer and RTDs, alongside a limited edition whisky.
A blend of several malts distilled at the Yamazaki distillery and laid down throughout the band’s 50-year history, including a single malt “long aged” in mizunara casks, the whisky was presented in a crystal bottle with the lips-and-tongue logo etched onto the front.
Each malt was chosen in relation to the corresponding year of major Rolling Stones milestones, such as 1962, the year the band formed.
Just 150 bottles of the whisky were released on 30 October 2012.
