RTD startup Bevi targets Gen Z with new SachetCan
By Joe RogersBevi’s Journey Juice x Joss Shot ready-to-drink (RTD) cans are bundled with sachets of ‘effervescent functional powder’.

The 220ml Journey Juice cans comprise a lightly carbonated mix of vodka and fruit at 12% ABV, while the attached sachet contains 50mg of caffeine and other ‘functional ingredients’, according to Bevi’s website.
Together, they are described as a ‘modular system’ that promises ‘a new drinks format for a new generation’.
Drinkers are invited to combine the two products ‘for a sweet, fizzy, sherbet-style upgrade’.
Journey Juice is currently available in Passion Fruit & Orange, Dark Berries, and Raspberry Lime flavours. The accompanying Joss Shots can be found in Lemon and Lime, Cola Pop and Pineapple Blast varieties.
Bevi’s founders, Josh Hillier and Will Diaz, are betting on a sense of ritual and the visual impact of the SachetCan to engage a younger audience in what they identify as the “pre-drinks occasion.”
Eric Sampers, who was recently brought on board as non-executive strategic advisor to the brand, said: “Bevi is building something that reflects how a new generation actually drinks, not how the industry wishes they did.
“The format is smart, the occasion is underserved, and the founding team have the right instincts. I am really excited to be on board and be a part of growing the brand.”
Sampers boasts more than 20 years’ experience in the drinks industry, including a stretch as a global brand director at Pernod Ricard. He is joined at Bevi by fellow non-executive strategic advisor Trystan Farnworth, formerly a commercial director at Britvic.
“Getting a new drinks brand to market properly is harder than most people appreciate. It requires knowing the system, knowing the people, and understanding what retailers actually need,” said Farnworth. “I have been impressed by what Josh and Will are building, and I am looking forward to helping Bevi scale.”
In addition to bringing in new advisors, Bevi is preparing to raise investments to build its distribution network across the UK and scale its brand, with the eventual aim to expand across Europe.
RTD products continue to defy a broader downward trend across the spirits industry.
IWSR reported that US sales of RTDs grew by 14% by volume in 2025, vs an overall drop of 4% across all spirits categories.
A Predrinks Bundle of 12 SachetCans is currently available for £39.99 (US$54) direct from Bevi.
