Gall & Gall takes on 1689 Orange Gin
By Miona MadsenAmsterdam-based Gin 1689 has secured a listing with spirits retailer Gall & Gall in the Netherlands for its orange-flavoured expression.

The listing follows the launch of 1689 Dutch Orange Gin in March and is part of the brand’s expansion in the Netherlands.
Built on the brand’s 300-year-old gin recipe, the orange variant is said to offer a vibrant twist on Dutch history. Infused with natural orange botanicals, it is said to deliver a fresh, fruity, and citrus-forward flavour, making it well-suited to summer cocktails.
“Bringing our Dutch Orange Gin to Gall & Gall is a proud moment for us,” said Alexander Janssens and Patrick van der Peet, who founded Gin 1689 in 2018.
“This gin embodies Dutch heritage, craftsmanship and a touch of royal history – and we’re thrilled that consumers across the country can now enjoy it more easily than ever.”
The 40% ABV gin is now available through Gall & Gall’s retail network and online shop, retailing for €34.99 (US$41) in a 700ml bottle.
The brand’s portfolio also includes the original Dutch Dry Gin and Dutch Pink Gin.
The orange gin became available in the UK last month (May) in three formats – 700ml, 500ml and 50ml.
