This year’s St David’s Day was on 1 March, but the celebration led by Jenkins will take place on 8 March at Rockefeller Centre.

The event aims to introduce a taste of Wales to one of the world’s most influential hospitality markets.

The evening will feature Cygnet’s ultra-premium 22 gin, accompanied by a curated menu inspired by the home-cooked Welsh dishes Jenkins grew up with, developed in close collaboration with the Pebble Bar team.

As part of the celebration, a special St David’s Day cocktail featuring Cygnet 22 called the ‘Welsh Daisy’ will be showcased exclusively for the evening.

Jenkins commented on the event: “As a fiercely proud Welsh woman, I have so often celebrated St Patrick’s Day alongside my Irish friends and raised a glass on Burns Night with my Scottish friends – traditions that are honoured so beautifully around the world. To now see St David’s Day, our own treasured national day, being embraced further in the US fills me with enormous pride.

“I’m especially grateful to Matt Charles and the team at Pebble Bar, who have been simply brilliant in embracing the Welsh touchpoints that make this moment feel both authentic and joyful.”

The one-night-only event showcases the brand’s ambitions in the US and is part of Jenkins’ strategy to raise awareness of Welsh spirits globally.

She added: “New York is a city that understands craftsmanship, storytelling and the power of hospitality done properly. St David’s Day is such a proud moment for us as Welsh people, and bringing that spirit to Pebble Bar feels incredibly special.

“This isn’t just a celebration: it’s an invitation into our heritage. Through Cygnet 22, the food, music and atmosphere, we’re sharing the very best of Wales with some of the most influential voices in hospitality and culture. When you gather people in a room like this, with a beautifully crafted drink in hand, you create connection, and that’s what people are really coming for.”

In January, American luxury lifestyle magazine Robb Report purchased a minority stake in Cygnet.

The gin brand has also established an advisory board to accelerate global expansion and strengthen its brand.
