Tarsier plans spicy gin launch with LCBO
By Miona MadsenManchester’s Tarsier Southeast Asian Spirit has announced the launch of a chilli and lemongrass-flavoured gin in Canada.

The gin will launch as part of the Liquor Control Board of Ontario (LCBO) Gin Shop Programme, which runs from April to September 2026.
It will be available at more than 140 LCBO retail locations throughout Ontario, as well as through the LCBO’s eCommerce platform.
The collaboration is said to mark a ‘significant’ milestone for Tarsier in the Canadian market as part of the its international expansion.
Tarsier Chilli & Lemongrass Gin is inspired by Thailand’s vibrant street food culture, combining fresh lemongrass, chilli, and fragrant makrut lime leaves.
The versatile gin is designed to bring a splash of Southeast Asia to classic gin and tonic serves and contemporary cocktails.
For the launch, Tarsier has created a limited-edition white bottle with a red label. Each bottle includes a QR code that unlocks a curated collection of cocktail recipes, including a Thai twist on the Caesar, a Bloody Mary-style cocktail made with Clamato.
Additionally, the brand’s other spirits are now available in a signature black-glass bottle inspired by the jungle through Tre-Amici, Tarsier’s exclusive agent in Ontario.
Bobby Panchu, retail director of Tre-Amici Wines, commented on the launch: “We’re delighted to be launching Tarsier Gin in Ontario through the LCBO’s Gin Shop Program from April to September 2026. With distribution across more than 140 stores and the LCBO’s eCommerce platform, this marks a significant step for the brand in Canada.
“Ontario consumers are increasingly curious and adventurous, seeking out affordable luxury, and Tarsier’s bold Asian-inspired botanicals offer a genuinely distinctive proposition within the premium gin category. A top-shelf, characterful gin at an accessible price point.”
Tarsier Chilli & Lemongrass Gin will be available in select LCBO stores and online starting April 2026, while supplies last.
Last month, Tarsier partnered with distributor Better Food Solution to launch its gins in Germany.
