Less Than Jake to headline Fireball tour

Sazerac-owned cinnamon-flavoured whiskey brand Fireball has launched its annual Fuelling The Fire tour, which features live performances from Less Than Jake and Goldfinger.

Taking place in O2 Academy venues across the UK in September, the Fuelling The Fire tour aims to add “a shot of excitement to the live music scene”.

Alongside punk bands Less Than Jake and Goldfinger, the tour will feature the winners of the Fireball Hottest Band competition, Thieves Of Liberty, and a host of “special guests” yet to be announced.

Matt Reynolds, Fireball brand ambassador with UK distributor Hi-Spirits, said: “Music is all about the fans. That’s why we at Fireball UK want to do this. We’ve grown up loving music, and watched in fear as ticket and drink prices are hiked at live shows beyond comprehension.

“We also work hard to support bands that play live in pubs, bars and venues around the UK, and the Fireball Hottest Band competition gives them a chance to take a step up as part of the Fuelling The Fire line-up.”

Tickets for the tour are on sale now, with fans offered early bird tickets at £15 (US$19) and available with multi-buy discounts.

Chris DeMakes of headliner Less Than Jake said: “Less Than Jake is extremely excited to headline this year’s Fireball: Fuelling The Fire Tour. We wanted to ramp up the insanity this time around so we’re bringing along our friends in Goldfinger to celebrate with us. We can’t wait for these shows. It’s going to be epic.”

The tour will kick off in Sheffield on 19 September, before travelling to eight cities, including Newcastle, Glasgow and London, where it finishes on 28 September.
