Mila Kunis visited Wrigleyville bars last Saturday with a preview of Jim Beam Game 7 BatchBeam Suntory and the Chicago Cubs announced a multi-year partnership in January this year, which includes extensive promotion of Jim Beam at the Wrigley Field stadium.
The new expression, called Game 7 Batch, features Bourbon that completed its four years of barrel maturation on the date of the Chicago Cubs’ Game 7 World Championship game on 2 November 2016. It is described as having an “oak vanilla aroma and a sweet finish”.
To celebrate the release, Kunis visited Wrigley Field last Saturday (15 April), to throw the game’s ceremonial first pitch before appearing at three Wrigleyville bars with a preview of the product.
“We’re proud to call the Chicago Cubs part of our growing family, so in celebration of the Cubs’ history-making victory, we wanted to release a history-making Bourbon for the occasion,” said Jim Beam’s seventh generation master distiller, Fred Noe. “This exclusive Jim Beam Game 7 Batch is our gift to the fans in Chicago from our home in Kentucky.”
“We love to see passion between our team and our Legacy Partners, and Jim Beam’s Game 7 Batch is a perfect example of two historic brands coming together in the spirit of celebration,” said Chicago Cubs president of baseball operations, Crane Kenney.
Packaged with a commemorative blue cap, batch sticker and specialty label to celebrate Cubs heritage, Game 7 Batch has a suggested RRP of US$17.99 for 750ml.
It will be available in limited quantities at select Chicagoland retailers this June.
Kunis also featured in a 30-second commercial for Jim Beam Bourbon, titled A Look Inside, in January last year.
