The two companies will focus on strategic distribution, brand visibility and long-term growth across international airport and duty free locations.

Andrew Torrance, director at Sipwell Brands, said: “GTR is fundamental to building premium spirits brands on a global scale.

“Cotswolds Distillery is a natural fit for Sipwell Brands, with an authentic story, a strong sense of place and outstanding liquid quality.

“Through this partnership, our focus is on widening distribution in travel retail and introducing more international travellers to a truly distinctive English distillery.”

Cotswolds Distillery’s portfolio, which include gin and whisky, is currently available in more than 35 countries. England’s largest whisky maker has delivered sustained growth and expanded production in recent years.

Its commercial director Kerrin Egalka added: “GTR has become a strategically important growth channel for Cotswolds Distillery, driven by the increasing international recognition of both our brand and the Cotswolds region among travelling consumers.

“As we accelerate our global expansion, partnering with Sipwell provides the expertise and guidance needed to unlock further potential in the channel.”

The English distillery recently had a leadership shuffle, with former CEO Jeremy Parsons leaving the company at the end of January. He was replaced by the company’s founder, Daniel Szor.
