True masterpiece: Beluga des Connaisseurs
By Miona MadsenBeluga Vodka has partnered with French manufacturer Bernardaud to create 2,000 limited edition Beluga des Connaisseurs decanters, marking the first porcelain carafe designed for a vodka brand.

Creating a masterpiece requires vision and imagination that dares to challenge convention. As a brand dedicated to redefining luxury vodka, Beluga is no stranger to innovation in its finest forms, while blending tradition with modernity.
For its latest high-end venture, Beluga collaborated with renowned French porcelain house Bernardaud, uniting two icons of luxury lifestyle. This partnership yielded a stunning vessel that embodies Beluga’s spirit, also serving as a timeless work of art. Inspired by the brand’s signature symbol – caviar – the limited edition decanter resembles a traditional caviar tin, known for elevating any occasion and perfectly complementing Beluga Vodka.
“Beluga des Connaisseurs is the artistic expression of two iconic houses united by a shared vision of timeless luxury and haute gastronomy,” says Katerina Mechetina, board member for Noblewood Group, the owner of Beluga Vodka. “With this porcelain decanter, we pay tribute to French elegance and the art of the table, while reaffirming our ambition to turn every tasting into a true connoisseur’s experience.”
Established in 1863 in Limoges, Bernardaud exemplifies the excellence of fine French porcelain. As a family-owned business in its fifth generation, the factory utilises the region’s natural resources – kaolin, freshwater, and forests – essential for porcelain production. Throughout its history, Bernardaud has maintained the highest standards of craftsmanship. Every piece bearing the brand’s name is meticulously handcrafted by skilled artisans, with the entire production process – from sourcing kaolin and shaping porcelain to decorating and final firing – taking place within a single facility. This ensures exceptional quality at every stage.
Charles Bernardaud, general manager of Bernardaud, comments on the singular partnership: “Our collaboration with Beluga reflects our commitment to partnering with houses that share our vision of excellence and craftsmanship. Each carafe handcrafted in Limoges embodies this pursuit and highlights the uniqueness of our partnership.”
The timeless decanter draws inspiration from the circle, a shape that holds iconic significance for both brands. At the centre of the design is a deep blue circle that radiates quiet sophistication and mystery, embodying rarity and elegance while evoking the traditional shape of a caviar tin. Set within the pristine porcelain body, this circular detail becomes a modern emblem of understated luxury, drawing the gaze inward like the first glimpse into a freshly opened caviar tin, where opulence reveals itself in silence.

The caviar motif is beautifully embellished with a wheat design, symbolising the key ingredient in vodka production. Beluga Vodka des Connaisseurs x Bernardaud features a distinctive recipe that enhances the elegance of its bottle design. Made from sprouted wheat grains and alpha-grade wheat spirit, combined with the finest artesian water, the vodka is rested for 100 days to enhance its flavour and achieve a silky, smooth finish.
Each of the 2,000 decanters is finished with a rich white glaze that beautifully complements the deep blue centre and is crowned with an eye-catching blue and gold cap. The design is further enhanced with edges adorned in hand-applied gold foil.
Every decanter is adorned with a metal Beluga sturgeon, which also appears on every Beluga bottle, as well as with Bernardaud’s signature stamp, which highlights the authenticity of the product.

Beluga des Connaisseurs made a grand debut as a symbol of ultimate vodka luxury during an exclusive dinner at Hôtel Mona Bismarck in Paris, attended by more than 60 carefully selected guests. The event was envisioned as a true celebration of refinement centred around fine porcelain, vodka, and caviar – three key elements representing both Maisons. The dinner was designed as a sensory journey, showcasing the purity of Beluga vodka alongside the rich flavours of caviar, all elegantly presented in Bernardaud porcelain.
At the core of the collaboration was the Beluga x Bernardaud decanter. Through this partnership, Beluga Vodka and Bernardaud emphasise their dedication to crafting unique experiences where design, craftsmanship, and the art of entertaining come together to enhance each moment.
