Olympians back Rodeo de las Aguas Tequila
By Melita KielyTwo gold-winning Olympians have taken a stake in Rodeo de las Aguas Tequila and become ambassadors.

Owned by Doheny Road Spirits, Rodeo de las Aguas Tequila has partnered with 2024 Summer Olympic and Paralympic gold medallists Tara Davis-Woodhall and Hunter Woodhall.
Davis-Woodhall won an Olympic gold medal in the women’s long jump. Woodhall also won a gold medal in the men’s 400m T62 race during the Paralympics a few weeks later.
Tony Garcia, CEO of Doheny Road Spirits, said: “Their personal mantra, ‘W’s only’, aligns with our award-winning brand’s commitment to excellence.
“Their energy, authenticity and passion reflect the true spirit of our brand. Tara’s nickname, ‘America’s Cowgirl’, and Hunter’s resilience make them ideal representatives for Rodeo de las Aguas Tequila.”
Davis-Woodhall and Woodhall will help to promote the Tequila brand through in-store signings, trade shows, personal appearances, and exclusive events.
They will also help to raise the brand’s profile at events in the lead up to the 2028 Los Angeles Summer Olympics.
In a joint statement, the pair said: “The brand’s dedication to crafting exceptional Tequila mirrors the passion and precision we bring to track and field.
“It’s a privilege to share the inspiring story of Maria Rita Valdez, the remarkable ranchera whose land became the foundation of Beverly Hills and whose legacy inspired the brand.
“By celebrating Maria’s pioneering spirit, Rodeo de las Aguas also honours the remarkably rich heritage of Tequila – the artistry, cultural traditions, and authenticity.”
Last year, The Spirits Business took a closer look at Tequila’s performance in global travel retail to see if the category has been mirroring its success in domestic markets.
