Liviko expands Caribba rum range
By Miona MadsenEstonian spirits producer Liviko has added an eight-year-old Reserva rum blend to its Caribba range.

The expression is a blend of rums sourced from the Caribbean, most notably Trinidad and the Dominican Republic.
Caribba Reserva joins the brand’s range, which includes blanco, negro, spiced, cherry and zesty Xtabla Cinnamon.
Jörgen Herman, export director at Liviko, commented: “Caribba Reserva is a premium addition to the Caribba family and a natural extension of our portfolio. We have observed a growing trend in the premium rum category, and the initial feedback has been encouraging.
“Our main export markets will be Europe and Asia, where we see a strong demand for premium rums.”
Reserva features aromas of caramel, honey, and overripe tropical fruits with dried citrus peel and candied spices.
The ‘full-bodied’ palate is said to offer nuances of walnuts, baked apples, sweet bakery spices and dried orange peel.
According to Liviko, Caribba Reserve is best enjoyed slightly chilled as a digestif.
Liviko was established in 1898 and is one of the largest alcoholic beverage companies in the Baltics, exporting to more than 70 markets worldwide.
The company’s portfolio includes brands such as Crafter’s Gin, Vana Tallinn liqueurs, Bellingshausen Vodka and Viru Valge Vodka.
Last year, The Spirits Business interviewed Gloria Hallaste, Liviko’s export marketing specialist, about the firm’s brands and its focus on sustainability.
