Emma Watson designs festive Renais packaging
Renais Gin, founded by siblings Alex and Emma Watson, has unveiled its Festive Lantern Edition bottle sleeve, which can be up-cycled as a Christmas decoration.
Created, designed and inscribed by Harry Potter actor Emma, the Festive Lantern Edition is said to encapsulate the brand’s sustainability ethos, by allowing consumers to up-cycle the sleeve packaging, which features festive icons and colourful illustrations, into a decorative hanging lantern and tree decorations.
Emma said: “I’ve loved designing the Renais Festive Lantern Edition – it’s truly been a joy. The box not only becomes a lantern but the cut outs are Christmas decorations for the tree, or anywhere.”
As part of the festive pack, consumers will also receive limited edition wrapping paper, featuring Emma’s own designs.
The Festive Lantern Edition is available now in the UK and US for £65 (US$82).
In addition, Renais has unveiled a luxury glassware gift set, which features a bottle of Renais presented between two glasses, which have been designed to reference the silhouette of a Burgundy wine and a brandy glass.
This ‘innovative’ shape is said to help capture the aromas of the gin while emulating the waves that feature on Renais’ bottle.
The glassware also features an amber coloured stem and bottom, reflecting the hue of Renais’ bottle.
The set, which also includes a holding tray, is available for pre-order from www.renais.co.uk for £90 (US$114).
Renais recently released a line of apparel in partnership with Italian clothing brand Del Toro.
Co-founder Alex Watson featured in the eighth episode of The Spirits Business Podcast, in which he shared how family, terroir and sustainability played crucial roles in designing the brand. It is available to listen to on all major streaming platforms, including Apple Podcasts, Spotify and Amazon.
