While there are a few Halloween-themed recipes on the list, the perfect potions for your spooky parties at the end of the month, there’s also a golden signature serve from Beyoncé’s whiskey brand, a cocktail for the debut of the West End’s The Devil Wears Prada, and much more.

El Presidente

Havana Club presents its take on the defining cocktail of Cuba’s golden age, which transports you to the bustling streets of Havana in the 1930s.

Ingredients:

  • 40ml Havana Club 7 Años
  • 20ml Lillet Blanc
  • 10ml Triple sec
  • 5ml Grenadine
  • 1 twist Orange peel

Method:  Take a cocktail shaker or a jar with a lid. Pour ingredients in and stir well to mix. Strain into a glass and garnish with the orange peel twist. Sip, savour, and… salud!


The Honey Bee

This signature recipe from Beyoncé Knowles­-Carter’s new whiskey, SirDavis, is a golden tribute to ‘Queen Bey’.

Ingredients:

  • 60ml SirDavis American Whisky
  • 2ml Lemon juice
  • 15ml Honey syrup*
  • Garnish: Honeycomb

*To make honey syrup, add two parts honey and one part water into a small saucepan over medium heat. Stir until the honey is dissolved. Allow to cool then transfer to an airtight container.

Method: Add liquid ingredients to a shaker tin, with ice going in last. Shake for dilution and pour into a coupe glass. Garnish with honeycomb.


Carajillo

Coffee cocktails do exist beyond Espresso Martinis, and the classic two-­ingredient Spanish serve here, the Carajillo, is another that provides you with a boozy hit of caffeine.

Ingredients:

  • 60ml Espresso or strong coffee
  • 60ml Rémy Martin 1738 Cognac

Method: Pour the espresso or strong coffee and Rémy Martin 1738 into a cocktail shaker. Fill the shaker with ice and seal it. Shake it for 15 seconds, then strain and pour it over a rocks glass with ice cubes.

Made for the debut in London’s West End of the musical The Devil Wears Prada, and named as a play on the words about the musical’s fictional high fashion magazine, Runway, this cocktail serves up a striking red look that might even raise a nod of approval from Miranda Priestly herself with its fresh and fruity flavours.

Ingredients:

  • 35ml Hattiers Egremont Premium Reserve Rum
  • Luscombe Hot Ginger Beer
  • Luscombe Raspberry Crush

Method: Add 35ml of Hattiers Egremont Premium Reserve Rum to a Highball glass with ice. Squeeze in the juice of a quarter wedge of fresh lime, drop into the glass. Fill the rest of the glass with three­-quarters Luscombe Hot Ginger Beer and one­-quarter Luscombe Raspberry Crush. Garnish with a sprig of fresh mint.

Renowned Argentinian bartender Mona Gallosi has captured the essence of her cocktail’s name perfectly by combining elderflower and cassis with Bosque Gin’s Alta Montaña.

Ingredients:

  • 45ml Bosque Alta Montaña
  • 45ml Elderflower nectar
  • 45ml Lime juice
  • 45ml Cassis liqueur
  • Block of ice

Method: Stir ingredients in a stemless glass. Garnish with a wild flower.


Cognac Tonic

Give your bottles of gin and vodka a rest and partner Cognac with tonic, for something simple yet elegant.

Ingredients:

  • 50ml Gautier VS
  • Tonic water
  • Slice of lemon

Method: In a stemmed glass filled with ice, pour the Cognac and top it with the tonic water. Garnish your cocktail with the lemon slice.


Born Irish Manhattan Made Dark

Born Irish

A smooth and rich coffee twist on the Manhattan made with stout-finished spirit drink Born Irish.

Ingredients:

  • 50ml Born Irish Whiskey Spirit Drink
  • 25ml Coffee liqueur
  • 20ml Manzanilla Sherry
  • 3 dashes Aromatic bitters

Method: Stir with ice for 20 seconds. Strain into a coupe glass and garnish with an orange peel.


Bloody Black Bush

Recipes

Out with trick or treat, and in with sour or sweet. Celebrate Halloween with this spooky serve from Bushmills Irish whiskey.

Ingredients:

  • 50ml Bushmills Black Bush
  • 50ml Orange juice
  • 50ml Red vermouth
  • 35ml Berry syrup
  • 1 handful Blackberries
  • 1 Orange wedge

Method: Pour all ingredients into an iced rocks glass and stir. Garnish with an orange wedge and berries.


Haunted Negroni

Recipes

A scary good twist on a Negroni with blood orange juice. Dracula would approve.

Ingredients:

  • 30ml Sir Edmond Gin
  • 30ml Campari
  • 30ml Sweet vermouth
  • 15ml Blood orange juice
  • 2 dashes of Orange bitters
  • Dried orange for garnish

Method: Fill a mixing glass with ice. Add ingredients into the glass and stir well (for about 30 seconds) until chilled. Strain into a glass filled with ice. Garnish with a dried orange.


Diplomatico Spritz

The Spritz variations never end and you can even bring rum into the mix too, as with this recipe from Diplomático rum.

Ingredients:

  • 25ml Diplomático Reserva Exclusiva
  • 50ml Bitter liqueur
  • Soda water
  • Orange slice

Method: Stir ingredients over ice and enjoy!
