Kyrö appoints DACH brand ambassador
Finnish Kyrö Distillery has appointed Micha Fritzen as the new brand ambassador for Germany, Austria and Switzerland (DACH).
Fritzen started his new role at Kyrö on 1 June to actively support the brand’s community and accompany the hospitality and retail sectors through master classes, tastings and events.
He aims to bring the unique history and high quality of Kyrö products closer to a wider audience and raise awareness of Finnish spirits.
Fritzen has more than 10 years of experience as a bartender and bar manager in renowned hotel chains, including Hilton, Melia and Roomers. During this time, he has built an excellent reputation in the German bar community.
“We are delighted to welcome Micha as our new brand ambassador. His extensive experience and commitment to the bar scene are invaluable to us. We are convinced that Micha will play a key role in distributing and promoting our products in German-speaking countries,” said Dominic Buecker, global sales manager of Kyrö Distillery.
The Finnish distillery released its 700ml core range of rye whiskies in autumn 2023, offering whisky enthusiasts four distinctive expressions: Kyrö Malt, Wood Smoke, Malt Oloroso, and Peat Smoke.
Each whisky is made from 100% malted Finnish rye and reflects authentic Finnish culture through its unique ingredients and distillation methods.
The whiskies retail at €43-€55 (US$46-US$59) and can be enjoyed neat, on the rocks or mixed in a cocktail.
