Diageo North America president departs
Claudia Schubert, president and chief operating officer at Diageo North America, has left her role after 22 years with the business.
Schubert will leave the company in September 2024, when she will transition to corporate board service and advisory work.
Debra Crew, CEO of Diageo, said: “Claudia has made an enormous contribution to Diageo. I want to thank Claudia for her dedication and extraordinary leadership, including her time helping steer North America through the unprecedented Covid pandemic and its aftermath.”
Schubert joined Diageo in 2002 as part of its wine business in California, before moving to spirits in 2009.
In 2015, she became general manager of the firm’s Continental Europe, Russia & Middle East division.
In 2018, she became president for US spirits and Canada, before joining the executive committee as president in 2022.

Diageo cited Schubert as ‘instrumental in the acquisition and integration of exciting brands’ including Aviation, 21Seeds, Mr Black and Seedlip.
