Old Nick announces Tropical and Ginger bottlings

Rum brand Old Nick has unveiled two flavoured spirit drinks, Old Nick Tropical and Old Nick Ginger.

Owned by La Martiniquaise-Bardinet, Old Nick will initially launch the bottlings in the UK.

Old Nick Tropical combines Caribbean rum with mango, pineapple, passion fruit and orange for a sweeter taste.

Meanwhile, Old Nick Ginger’s flavour is said to be richer, with the combination of pepper and spice for a stronger kick.

Both flavours have been bottled at 32% ABV.

Laure Habbouse, global marketing manager at La Martiniquaise-Bardinet, said: “These fruity drinks bring together the best of our light, Caribbean rum with their tropical fruit flavours and warm, spicy layers.

“All you need to do is stir them into the fruit juice or mixer of your choice, and share a taste of Caribbean spirit with your friends.”

The products are described as ‘sensational’ for cocktail lovers, and ideal for mixing into simplistic yet flavourful serves.

The two new flavours join Old Nick’s Dark, Gold, Punch, Spiced, and White rum and spirit drink variants.

Tropical and Ginger will add to the seven million litres sold by the brand in 2020, and continue to establish Old Nick as a staple for classic rum, La Martiniquaise-Bardinet said.

Old Nick has experimented with Caribbean rum since 1893, and has been the leading brand for white rum in France since 2013.

Old Nick collected a number of medals in The Rum & Cachaça Masters 2023, hosted by The Global Spirits Masters Competitions.
