The expression has been launched in celebration of Women’s History Month, with $5 from each sale going to Regarding Her, a non-profit organisation that accelerates female entrepreneurs in food and beverage.

Created by Molly Troupe, Freeland’s master distiller, the 57% ABV gin spent six months in Uncle Nearest Premium Whiskey barrels, imparting notes of ‘oak, orange, and sweet caramel’.

Freeland Spirits is based in Portland, Oregon, and is led by an all-female team, as is Tennessee-based Uncle Nearest.

The gin will be available in limited quantities for US$49.99 for a 750ml bottle.

“This launch is a celebration of the incredible women who have shaped the spirits industry and the world at large,” said Jill Kuehler, founder and CEO of Freeland Spirits.

“Freeland Spirits recognises the importance of amplifying women’s voices and contributions and we are thrilled to come together during Women’s History Month to raise a glass to the women who have paved the way and continue to inspire us.”

As well as gin, the brand creates Bourbon aged in Pinot Noir oak barrels.
