Le Barteleur RTDs enter the US
Le Barteleur, a French-made line of bottled cocktails, is entering the US with four products: Hanky Panky, Margarita, Espresso Martini, and Pornstar Martini.
The French bottled cocktail brand launched in 2021 and will now be imported into the US by Heavenly Spirits.
Each 700ml bottle contains eight to 10 servings and comes in an environmentally friendly package. The cocktails are made with natural ingredients and bear no expiration date.
The ABV of the four products range from 18% to 27%, while prices are between US$35 to US$38.
Importer Heavenly Spirits will bring the cocktails to its home state of Massachusetts first, starting 1 February, with wider distribution to follow.
Ready-to-drink serves (RTDs) remain big business in the US. In November 2023, data from IWSR Drinks Market Analysis projected the category to reach US$21.1 billion in value in the US by 2027, led by spirit-based hard seltzers and pre-mixed cocktails.
Worldwide, the category is predicted to reach US$40 billion by 2027 across 10 key markets. The IWSR said that growth would be led by premium-and-above RTD cocktails and long drinks.
Le Barteleur was founded in 2021 by Nicolas Varnier and Philippe Di Mèo, veterans of the French spirits industry and the world of culture and design.
