TS Spirits rebrands gin line

Italian producer TS Spirits has rebranded its gin range, which has been given a new name: Capjari Gin.

TS Spirits has two expressions in its Capjari Gin range

The range debuted in 2021 and previously went by the name Electra Gin, which TS Spirits said ‘harmoniously blends traditional distillation methods and modern approaches’.

The brand has a commitment to ‘high-quality, maximum sustainability and energy efficiency’ and a mission of ‘raising the quality standards of Italian spirits by studying and innovating with traditional practices and agronomic research’.

The line bears two expressions: the Capjari Double Distilled Premium Gin, which previously existed under the Electra name, and a new addition, the Capjari Gold Organic Premium Gin. The latter sports a yellow colour that changes over time due to the natural way the botanicals in the bottle have been matured.

They both sit at 41.5% ABV and have an RRP of €44 (US$46).

Both gins are additive-free and made from an infusion of 11 botanicals, with the Double Distiled Premium Gin’s production process including separate and controlled distillations and 10 cold infusions. Meanwhile, the Gold Organic Premium Gin is distilled and blended once more in copper stills to optimise its flavours.

TS Spirits was founded by two industry managers and long-time friends, Fabio Todesco and Eugenio Speroni, who extensively researched botanicals and formulas for 10 years, playing around with hundreds of recipes using a five-litre copper still.

The two are also looking to emphasise sustainable practices with Capjari, and feature ‘Ocean Bound’ labelling on the bottles – a recycled plastic film made from plastic that’s been recovered before it enters the ocean – paired with eco-friendly paper from UPM Raflatac, the world’s largest paper mill.

Over the summer, Capjari secured a gold medal at The Gin Masters 2023 blind tasting.
