Charter Brands enters the Dominican Republic
By Lauren BowesLangley’s Gin owner Charter Brands has established a distribution deal for the Dominican Republic with Axma Group.
Charter Brands’ El Tequileño and Langley’s Gin brands were made available on the island earlier this year.
Arkaitz Giménez, sales director at Charter Brands, said: “We are deeply appreciative of our partnership with Axma Group, which has proven to be instrumental in the establishment of Langley’s Gin and El Tequileño in the Dominican Republic.
“The traction we’ve gained in such a short time is fantastic. The outlook is undeniably promising and it’s a testament to Axma Group’s commitment and dedication.
“It’s been an incredible start and we are confident that even greater success awaits us.”
Langley’s is now available in more than 30 markets and was named the fifth-biggest gin in Greece.
Axel Wittkop, CEO of Axma Group, added: “The Dominican palate, along with the encompassing market, has been evolving more and more over the years. They have become increasingly selective and interested in exploration.
“The introduction of Langley’s Gin and El Tequileño addresses a pressing need in our market for brands with heritage, tradition, craftsmanship and, above all, extra-premium quality at a competitive price, setting us apart from the ordinary and what we’re accustomed to seeing.
“We are deeply grateful for Charter Brands, our valued ally, for their constant support and immense expertise. Our shared values and vision guarantee a successful future.”
In February, Langley’s gained B Corp certification as it aims to become the ‘most responsible, accessible gin brand’ in the market.
