The cocktail is based on one of Theodorakopoulos’ favourite ingredients, lavender, which is a symbol of femininity, acknowledgement and devotion, according to the brand.

The Loving Lavender cocktail has a sweet, smoky smell and a floral, minty taste.

“Each cocktail fits in particular circumstances,” said Theodorakopoulos about his idea of a ‘perfect’ cocktail. “Perfection is difficult to achieve. In the Greek language, the word ‘perfect’ (teleios) is similar to the word ‘end’ (telos).”

Recently the gin brand partnered with Greek female mixologists Dionusia Sakellariou, Mary Talaiporou and Agapi Petropoulou, to curate a list of cocktails suitable for the summer months.

It has previously teamed up with bartender Marcos Chorattides of Last Word Bar in Cyprus to create a signature cocktail inspired by the brand’s botanicals, and with Hyacinthe Lescoët of The Cambridge Public House to create a drink using Croatian juniper berries.

As well as co-owning a bar, Theodorakopoulos is the ‘mastermind’ behind Bart, a consulting agency for bars.
