Stauning launches DIY bottle design kits
Danish whisky producer Stauning is combatting supply chain issues by offering consumers the chance to design their own bottle labels.
Bottle shortages and supply demand issues have left Stauning without its signature bottles, which has forced the brand to re-think its options of how to offer its products to consumers.
The dilemma has resulted in a limited edition DIY bottle kit, which will allow consumers to put their own stamp on the design and create their own bespoke Stauning bottle.
Each clear bottle comes packaged in a black box decorated with Stauning’s classic illustrative design.
The box contains an un-labelled bottle of either Stauning Rye, Kaos, or Smoke, and a selection of stickers ‘true to Stauning’s cheek and charm’, along with a gold felt-tip pen for those who want to add a bespoke touch to their design.
The brand noted that while the limited edition DIY bottles make an exclusive addition to any drinks cabinet, they are also suitable as personalised gifts.
Stauning’s limited edition bottles are available from The Whisky Exchange from RRP £60 (US$74.79).
Further Stauning collections are also available to purchase from Master of Malt and Ocado, including a limited edition rye whisky matured in sweet wine casks unveiled last year, and a rye whisky that had been finished in vermouth casks.
Further information can be found on the Stauning website.
In October, more than 90% of Irish whiskey producers said they were seeing production impacted by supply chain issues.
