Charter Brands and Future Wine and Spirits will work together to boost the presence of the Tequila brand in Turkey.

Arkaitz Giménez, sales director at Charter Brands, said: “We are thrilled to announce our collaboration with Future Wine and Spirits to bring El Tequileño to the Turkish market.

“Having worked with El Tequileño for two years now, we have seen tremendous success and received positive feedback from all markets where we have launched.

“With Future Wine and Spirits’ extensive experience and network in the industry, we are confident that this partnership will replicate the success story we have seen so far. We believe that our exceptional Tequila will not only meet but exceed the expectations of Turkish consumers.

“We are excited to embark on this new journey and bring a taste of Mexico to the Turkish market.”

El Tequileño was established in 1959 by Don Jorge Salles Cuervo.

The brand’s Reposado Gran Reserva is aged for a minimum of eight months in American oak barrels and blended with a small amount of añejo aged in American oak.

On the nose, the Tequila offers hints of banana, caramelised pear, nutmeg, vanilla, and caramel. The palate provides flavours of light oak, vanilla, spicy toffee, and macadamia nuts.

The Tequila is recommended served neat or in a Mexican Old Fashioned.

“In Turkey, the Tequila category is becoming increasingly popular and dynamic across all segments,” said Temel Bacınoğlu, general manager at Future Wine and Spirits.

“With El Tequileño, we are unequivocally persuaded by the quality and authenticity of the brand, bolstered by the numerous awards it has garnered.

“The brand can provide exceptional taste through a robust portfolio, catering to both Tequila connoisseurs and novices alike.

“We are also immensely gratified to have found a partner like Charter Brands who is exceedingly supportive in all aspects and possesses formidable marketing acumen, which will be a pivotal factor in our mutual future success.”
