Crossip sees 462% sales growth

International sales of non-alcoholic ‘spirit’ brand Crossip have increased by 462% over the past 12 months, boosted by its ‘rapidly expanding’ on-trade presence and overseas distribution agreements.

In 2022, Crossip boasted international sales growth of 462%, and is ‘expecting significant further growth’ in 2023 as new territories gain traction.

With export channels being an ‘integral part’ of the brand’s business strategy, Crossip has now attracted the attention of international distributers, including Innovation Spirits in Europe; The Sobr Market in North America; and Drink Dry in the Gulf, which is expanding coverage across the UAE.

As a result, the brand is now available in France, Spain, Canada, Mauritius, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia.

“While Crossip was founded and saw its initial expansion in the UK, we cannot ignore the growth and popularity of non-alcoholic beverages across the globe,” said Tim Blake, Crossip co-founder and commercial director.

“Over the past twelve months, Crossip has gone from strength-to-strength with our partners at Drink Dry across the GCC [Gulf Cooperation Council], and we look forward to continuing this expansion with our latest moves into Kuwait and Saudi Arabia.

“The success of our partnership with Drink Dry has given us the confidence to open up and develop new distributor partnerships across continental Europe, Asia and North America.”

Erika Doyle, founder and managing director of Drink Dry, commented: “Middle Eastern markets are widely different to the UK; it varies in consumer profiles and their reasons why they opt for non-alcoholic options.

“We have been very keen to add Crossip to our ever growing Drink Dry portfolio since we first tasted its creations. We have now seen great success in the UAE, Kuwait and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the past 12 months – the liquid has depth, layers and is very versatile. It does not try to mimic or replicate; it is bold enough to stand on its own.”

Pierre Le Gallic, director, Innovation Spirits, added: “Across France and Spain, we’ve seen the rapid growth in popularity of non-alcoholic options over the past few years. As we expect this growth to continue locally, we’ve looked to bolster our non-alcoholic portfolio with uniquely flavoured natural ‘spirits’.”

“Having observed the success of Crossip across both the UK and Gulf regions, we are confident that its offering of flavour, texture and mouthfeel will be extremely appealing to on-trade venues across France and Spain.

“We are delighted to partner with Crossip and have grand ambitions to grow the no-and-low sector in these two regions via our partnership.”

Last month, Crossip launched its Try January campaign, in which it encouraged consumers to opt for low-ABV drinks.
