Patrón unveils Day of the Dead parade

Tequila brand Patrón is hosting a London parade to mark Mexican holiday Día de Muertos next month.

Patrón
The London parade will take place on top of a double-decker bus on 1-2 November

Merging Mexican culture with London transport, Patrón will roll out its parade on the 1 and 2 November this year to celebrate Día de Muertos (Day of the Dead).

Guests can join the parade onboard a London bus, and can ‘raise a toast’ with the brand’s Paloma Roja cocktail.

The serve is a ‘seasonal twist’ on the classic Paloma cocktail, with hibiscus and bright grapefruit notes ‘reminiscent of traditional Mexican dishes’.

The event will see performances by dancers, directed by Miguel Torres Umba, creative director of Secret Cinema, who will be in traditional Día de Muertos dress.

The parade will also showcase food, drink and symbolism of the cultural holiday. The double-decker bus will be adorned with marigold flowers, and the journey will start at 6pm BST, heading through London spots Tower Bridge, Trafalgar Square, and Soho.

Tickets can be purchased online through Eventbrite for £10 (US$11.21). This includes a seat on the bus and a Paloma Roja cocktail.

To craft the cocktail from home, see below for the recipe.
