Franklin & Sons debuts Vodka Day contest
Mixer brand Franklin & Sons has partnered with Holy Grass Vodka and Angostura to give away 100 limited edition cocktail kits for National Vodka Day (4 October).
UK residents will have the chance to win prizes totalling over £2,500 (US$2800) in celebration of National Vodka Day, with 100 kits available to be won in an online giveaway.
The kits, worth more than £10 (US$11.20) each, contain the ingredients required to make a premium vodka-based cocktail called Between a Rock and a Hard Seltzer.
The cocktail is said to be a light, rounded drink that offers citrus guava and lime notes, and features the ‘faint sweetness and smoothness’ of Holy Grass Vodka, with an added depth from the tropical orange and spices of the bitters.
To enter the competition, participants must go to the Franklin & Sons website and fill out an entry form. The 100 winners will be chosen at random.
Entrants can also celebrate National Vodka Day by entering a competition to win a five-star stay and Michelin star meal at The Goring, London, worth more than £1,500 (US$1,680).
The competition is running on the Franklin & Sons Instagram account where entrants are asked to follow the @franklinandsons account and tag a friend that they would share the experience with, as well as like the post.
The winner will also receive £200 (US$224) to spend in the bar and restaurant at The Goring.
The competition is for over 18s only, with full terms and conditions at www.franklinandsons.co.uk.
The giveaway comes as data from CGA reveals that vodka sales have increased by 405% in UK venues year on year.
Diageo credited the rise in its vodka sales to an upswing in cocktail popularity in the on-trade.
