The partnership will look to grow the Islena drinks brand

Cox and Vantguard will work together on the musician’s Islena beer and cider brand.

“We always knew that we wanted to take Islena to the next level and having Carl Cox as a partner couldn’t be better,” Alfonso Morodo and Antonio Pardo, the CEOs of Vantguard, said in a joint statement.

“His influence as an artist is far reaching and he’s also a really great human being so this is going to be a lot of fun.”

Now, Vantguard is aiming to ‘build the business’ with the help of B-Ikonic, which focuses on ‘added-value’ partnerships, leveraged by Backbar Spirits, an alcohol advisory firm which lent a hand in the partnership proceedings.

“Vantguard’s impressive track record made this partnership very attractive to us and then to have one of my heroes, Carl Cox, on board too made this a dream come true,” said Damien O’Donohe, CEO of B-Ikonic.

With collaboration from Cox, also known as ‘the king of Ibiza’, the team will look to grow the Islena brand.

“Being part of a brand that has Ibiza as its spiritual home makes sense for me,” Cox noted.

“The team at Islena are behind my mission to share electronic music all over the world and I’m really pleased that a chance meeting on the island has led to us going forward together.”

Vantguard was the parent company of Spanish brand Gin Mare, before it was recently sold to drinks giant Brown-Forman.
