Havana Club invites fans to get creative
Rum drinkers are invited to put their own spin on the Havana Club 7 label via a new digital platform, called Havana Club Create.
The digital platform has been designed to offer three ‘distinct visual universes’ inspired by the streets of Havana.
The three ‘universes’ have been divided into ‘Graphic Scenes’, ‘Neon Waves’, and ‘Blooming Walls’.
Consumers can play with 81 design combinations in the graphic universes to design both front and back labels. There is also the option to add a personal message to the front label.
Users can then download their design for free, and share it on social media networks directly from the platform.
Consumers in China will also have the opportunity to purchase their Havana Club 7 bottle design via We Chat, which will be printed directly on the bottle and delivered to their home address.
Earlier this year, the Pernod Ricard-owned rum brand partnered with Grammy-winning Nigerian artist Burna Boy to create a limited edition bottle. The brand and Burna Boy created a short film to support the launch.
The collaboration was not a first for the brand, however. Havana Club previously teamed up with rapper Frenna to create a limited edition bottle. Past collaborations have also included rapper Skepta.
Furthermore, we compiled a list of the world’s biggest-selling rum brands that shift more than one million nine-litre cases annually.
Last year, Havana Club released a spiced rum.
