Whitebox Cocktails creates Squeezy’s Margarita
By Melita KielyReady-to-drink (RTD) Whitebox Cocktails has extended its offering with the launch of Squeezy’s Margarita.
The pre-mixed cocktail combines Tequila, lime and triple sec with a hint of salt.
It is canned at 19% ABV and will retail for RRP £30 (US$35) per pack of six 100ml cans.
Alex Lawrence, co-founder of Whitebox Cocktails, said: “It’s been quite the journey, but it’s worth the wait. If we are going to put our name to a Margarita, we wanted to make sure it actually tasted like a proper one we would be happy to serve to our pals.”
Squeezy’s Margarita joins Whitebox Cocktails’ existing products: Pocket Negroni, Freezer Martini, Chipper’s Old Fashioned, Hippy Fizz, and Disco Baby, a collaboration with London cocktail bar Three Sheets.
Ben Iravani, Whitebox co-founder, said about the new Margarita: “Tequila is one of the fastest-growing spirits categories in the UK right now and the Margarita is well on its way to becoming one of the nation’s favourite cocktails too.
“With Squeezy’s Margarita, as with all of our drinks, we wanted to replicate the quality and taste of a bar-quality cocktail in a ready-to-pour format that cocktail aficionados will love.”
Earlier this year, SB took a deep dive into the RTD category to discover how producers are taking the convenient serves from a summer staple to a year-round drinking option.
