Twin Fin rum launches coffee liqueur
By Nicola CarruthersTarquin’s Gin maker Southwestern Distillery has expanded its Twin Fin rum range with the release of a coffee-flavoured variant.

The new Cold Brew Coffee Rum Liqueur will join the Twin Fin range, which includes Pineapple & Pink Grapefruit, Coconut & Lychee and a barrel-aged rum.
The liqueur combines locally roasted coffee with Jamaican pot still and light Dominican Republic column still rums.
Master distiller and founder Tarquin Leadbetter worked with local coffee experts at Cornico, who roast their coffee next to Southwestern Distillery in North Cornwall, to source Brazilian avela coffee beans. The beans are roasted and cold brewed before being blended with the two rums.
The resulting liquid offers fresh cold brew coffee with hints of sweet vanilla, chocolate and a hazelnut. It is recommended served as an Espresso Rumtini by shaking 75ml of the liqueur with ice and 25ml of chilled water, double strained into a Martini glass.
Leadbetter said: “I’m incredibly excited to have a new addition to the Twin Fin family. The experimentation behind this rum has been really fun and we love how easy it is to make a really great Espresso Rumtini, I’ll be enjoying a few on the beach this summer.”
Bottled at 25% ABV, the new expression is priced at RRP £28 (US$34) per 700ml.
