Avallen launches crowdfunding campaign
By Georgie CollinsB Corp-certified Avallen Spirits has released a crowdfunding campaign to raise €500,000 (US$535,600) to boost its sustainability.
Avallen Spirits founders Stephanie Jordan and Tim Etherington-Judge are inviting investors to ‘join the hive’ with the launch of its second crowdfunding campaign on Seedrs.
With the funds, the firm is aiming to become a ‘leader in sustainability’ in the drinks industry, with new team members, an investment in the on-trade, innovating new sustainability initiatives, and the launch of a new planet positive vodka.
“For those that missed out on our first seed round back in the summer of 2020, this is their opportunity to join our hive at Avallen Spirits as we continue to build a delicious brand that is a force for good in the world with transparent values and the accreditation to back it up,” said Jordan.
Avallen is offering the opportunity for anyone to own a piece of the company, with a minimum investment set at £20 (US$31.24).
Since launching in 2019, Avallen has been a leader in sustainability within the drinks industry, as well as ‘reinvigorating’ the Calvados category.
The brand is a global partner with EcoSpirits and boasts being climate positive by 2.73kg/CO2e per bottle of Avallen Calvados.
Avallen is distributed in the UK through premium spirits importer and distributer, Mangrove UK.
Managing director Nick Gillet said: “It’s great to be involved with the stellar growth Avallen has achieved to date. As a leader in sustainability and innovation within the drinks industry, Avallen has shown that great tasting liquid can also achieve more than just great cocktails. I’m delighted to be working with such a pioneering brand as they embark on the next stage of their brand building journey”.
At the time of Avallen’s launch in May 2019, Jordan and Etherington-Judge pledged to plant 10,000 plants over their first three years in business.
