Jawbox RTDs launch in Sainsbury’s
Irish gin brand Jawbox is rolling out its ready-to-drink (RTD) cocktail range in UK-based Sainsbury’s stores.
The canned range launched in August last year, and is available in two flavours: Jawbox Small Batch Gin & Ginger Ale and Pineapple Gin Liqueur & Ginger Ale.
With an ABV of 5%, the 250ml cans will be available to buy for RRP £2 (US$2.51) each in Sainsbury’s stores.
Jawbox Gin is created using 11 botanicals, including Belfast black mountain heather. It is triple-distilled in copper pot stills, and boasts flavours of citrus, juniper, green angelica, pepper and rootiness on the palate.
The gin brand has recently seen a lot of activity, having secured a travel retail listing for its Export Strength bottling with Dufry, and expanded its presence in Australia.
At the time of launching in 2021, founder of Jawbox Gerry White explained: “With the RTD category booming and Jawbox consumers looking for their favourite gin to enjoy on-the-go, especially in recent times where socialising outside has become the norm, it felt like the perfect time to launch the brand into the RTD category.
“We have chosen the serves we know our customers enjoy most and have skilfully crafted the pre-mix to ensure the highest quality our customers expect.”
Jawbox is distributed by Kirker Greer Spirits, which debuted its Kirker Shamrock whiskey in UK retailer Tesco in Northern Ireland last month.
Kirker Greer Spirits’ brands also include Grand Kadoo rum, Ukiyo Vodka, and Black Irish whiskey-and-stout spirit drink.
