Tarquin’s to release RTD gin & tonic

Cornwall-based Tarquin’s Cornish Gin will launch Tarquin’s Cornish Dry Gin & Tonic grab-and-go cans in May.

The new Tarquins & Tonic RTD’s will launch in time for summer

The launch has been timed to coincide with the beginning of the British summer, in the hope of tapping into the al fresco dining market.

Tarquin’s founder and master distiller, Tarquin Leadbetter, commented: “We’re celebrating the great British summer with our latest release. At Tarquin’s we’re always looking to try new things and test new products – our new cans went through meticulous testing to create an on-the-go product that doesn’t compromise on quality or taste.

“There’s nothing better after a surf than an ice cold gin and tonic at a beach barbecue with friends, we’re really excited to make that feat a little easier.”

The launch follows an estimate by the company that more than one million Tarquin’s and tonics were enjoyed in Cornwall over the summer of 2021 alone.

The new ready-to-drink (RTD) G&T is offered in a 250ml signature blue can and combines a light tonic with Tarquin’s flagship Cornish Dry Gin.

The gin, offering tasting notes of crisp pine from the juniper balanced with fresh citrus and a bright floral finish, is a contemporary twist on a classic London dry gin. It is distilled with 12 botanicals sourced from across the globe and locally foraged on the wild Cornish coast.

Tarquin’s Gin & Tonic cans will be available to purchase for RRP £3 (US$2.39) from the Tarquin’s website, and in select retailers from 5 May 2022, as well as in Tarquin’s Padstow, St Ives and Fowey shops.
