Healthy Hospo creates industry survey

Not-for-profit organisation Healthy Hospo has developed a global survey about the health of workers within the hospitality industry.

Healthy Hospo
The survey will launch worldwide, exploring the health of hospitality workers

The survey will be released online tomorrow (12 April). It will ask hospitality workers questions about sleep, financial health, exercise, mental health and general feelings towards life in hospitality.

Healthy Hospo founder Tim Etherington-Judge commented: “As we begin to enter a post-pandemic period, we want to capture a snapshot of the health and well-being of the hospitality industry so that we understand what’s going on, and lay down a marker of where we are at right now.

“This allows us to ensure our work is addressing the right areas and we can measure changes in the industry, and see the impact our work is having.”

The questionnaire aims to obtain a snapshot into the health of the industry in order to deliver the maximum support for hospitality workers worldwide. It will provide data needed to write up a comprehensive report, which will contribute towards Healthy Hospo’s mission of building a happier, healthier industry.

Tony Burt, CEO of mixer brand East Imperial, said: “The past two years have been incredibly difficult for our beloved bars and restaurants around the world. We’re excited to support Healthy Hospo with their bold plan to understand the industry better and develop new tools to allow them to continue their mission of building a healthier, happier hospitality industry.”

From 12 April, the survey can be found at https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/healthy-hospo-survey.

In January, Healthy Hospo revealed it needed £10,000 (US$13,600) to survive, launching a Go Fund Me campaign to raise the funds in order to continue supporting the on-trade.
