Cardi B brings Whip Shots to US off-trade
By Nicola CarruthersWhip Shots, the vodka-infused whipped cream from rapper Cardi B, has expanded into US retail following its ‘unprecedented launch’ last year.
Cardi B joined forces with consumer goods firm Starco Brands to launch Whip Shots in three flavours in December 2021.
Made with ultra-premium vodka, Whip Shots is available in three 10% ABV flavoured varieties: vanilla, caramel and mocha.
According to Starco Brands, Whip Shots is now one of the largest consumer product launches of the year.
The company has partnered with Republic National Distributing Company to launch the brand in the US, including on-demand delivery platforms, and bricks and mortar stores.
“This is the result of an incredibly well-thought-out global launch and now retail strategy that has been executed by a truly wonderful and brilliant team,” said Ross Sklar, CEO of Starco Brands.
“The strategic alignment with our production, distributors and retail partners, along with our disruptive marketing initiatives both online and in store, accelerates our distribution allowing us to finally meet the overwhelming demand.”
From this month (February), Whip Shots is available to buy from Go Puff, Bevmo, Liquor Barn, and Total Wines and Spirits, across California, Colorado, Washington and Florida. Further regions will be added on a monthly basis.
Whipshots is available in 50ml (US$5.99) and 200ml (US$14.99) bottles.
