Cîroc creates pomegranate vodka

Diageo has expanded its Cîroc vodka range with a new limited edition flavour – pomegranate.

Diageo and brand partner, rapper and entrepreneur Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, will launch Cîroc Pomegranate next month.

Described as a ‘full-bodied’ spirit, the expression is made with vodka distilled from French grapes and infused with pomegranate and other ‘natural’ flavours.

The resulting liquid offers notes of juicy red berries with hints of strawberry, and bursts of sweet and fruity pomegranate flavours.

In October 2007, the rapper entered into a strategic alliance with Diageo to lead brand management activities for the ultra-premium vodka brand through Combs Enterprises.

“Cîroc is an industry innovator. From our flavours to design, we always deliver something special, this season there is no exception,” said Combs, chairman of Combs Enterprises. “We are introducing Cîroc Pomegranate to the family. The latest flavour is love in a bottle which I guarantee will have everybody celebrating.”

The vodka comes in a deep burgundy bottle with gold lettering.

The expression is recommended mixed with grenadine and sparkling wine or with cranberry juice to make a Highball.

Cîroc Pomegranate will be available to buy from Reserve Bar and in stores across the US from 1 October until supplies last, priced at RRP US$29.99.

In March this year, the vodka brand launched a limited edition spirit drink, called Summer Citrus.
