Bruno Mars’ Selvarey Rum enters 32 US markets
By Nicola CarruthersSelvarey Rum, the brand owned by singer Bruno Mars, has partnered with Republic National Distributing Company (RNDC) to expand its availability in the States.
Effective 1 August 2021, RNDC took on distribution of Selvarey in 32 markets across the US.
“We are excited to begin a lasting, fruitful partnership with Selvarey Rum,” said RNDC president and CEO Tom Cole. “Selvarey has a unique position in the fast-growing ultra-premium rum segment, and we are proud to help them expand their reach.”
RNDC will offer the full Selvarey range, including the white rum, a coconut-flavoured rum, a chocolate variant and the ‘extremely rare’ Owner’s Reserve bottling.
Mars added: “The timing is perfect for RNDC to bring the best rum out there to more people across the country. As our partners, they genuinely understand the quality and love in these products, and what the Selvarey brand is all about – transporting you to a world of tropical luxury with every sip.”
Mars owns the Selvarey brand alongside Seth Gold, Marc Gold and Robert Herzig.
In November last year, Mars relaunched Selvarey Rum with an updated design. The singer claimed to have spent more than three years designing the bottle, logo and merchandise.
In June, the brand unveiled the first instalment of its Tropical Luxury, Wherever You Are campaign.
