Booker’s Bourbon releases Tagalong Batch
Beam Suntory-owned Bourbon producer Booker’s has launched its latest limited edition bottling, Tagalong Batch.
The new Bourbon takes its name from the way the brand’s founder and former master distiller Booker Noe learned to make whiskey by ‘tagging along’ with his grandfather, Jim Beam, and observing production.
Booker’s son, seventh-generation master distiller Fred Noe, selected the batch, which was aged for six years and five months and bottled at 127.9 proof.
According to the brand, the Bourbon offers caramel, vanilla and ‘sweet brown wood sugar’ notes on the nose, with a bold palate and ‘surprisingly clean’ finish.
It is the second release in the distillery’s 2021 collection, following the introduction of Donohoe’s Batch earlier this year. The 2021 range is a set of limited edition releases, each with a label design and batch name celebrating Booker Noe.
Tagalong Batch has an RRP of US$89.99 per 750ml bottle and is available in limited quantities across the US.
