1800 Tequila’s new campaign stars Kali Uchis
Tequila brand 1800 has collaborated with two Grammy award winners, singer-songwriter Kali Uchis and director Jenn Nkiru, for a video campaign promoting its new Cristalino expression.
The Proximo Spirits-owned Tequila’s new short film focuses on elevating “everyday moments”, and is set to a remix of Uchis’ single Telepatía from Sin Miedo (del Amor y Otros Demonios), her first Spanish album.
It was directed by Nkiru, who recently won a Grammy for her work on Beyoncé’s Brown Skin Girl music video.
In 1800’s campaign, Uchis plays a bargoer who reaches for a bottle of Cristalino Tequila and is transported to a luxurious party.
Uchis said: “I play a risk-taker who defies the traditional bar scene to find my own celebration with like-minded people, dancing the night away to a new remix of Telepatia.
“1800 Cristalino Tequila invites viewers to turn everyday moments into special celebrations by reaching for a higher level of taste.”
The campaign will be released across national television in the US, as well as through digital video and social media channels including BET, Comedy Central, Facebook, FX, Hulu, Instagram, Univision, YouTube, Vevo and more.
