Oak barrels inspire new A de Fussigny Extra design

Cognac house A de Fussigny has updated the packaging for its Extra bottling using locally-sourced materials.

A de Fussigny updated the packaging for its Extra Cognac

A de Fussigny Extra Cognac is made using eaux-de-vie from the Grande Champagne region that have matured for between 10 and 35 years.

Matured in French oak barrels, A de Fussigny Extra is described as having a honeyed texture, melted oak notes and a rancio finish.

In order to better reflect the ‘modern minimalism’ of the Cognac house, A de Fussigny has unveiled new packaging for its Extra bottling, which includes a recyclable and reusable gift box.

The new packaging was inspired by the barrels used to mature the Cognac, and features an oak frame and Fedrigoni paper sleeve.

The gift box is produced locally in France, less than 100km from the Cognac house.

The update follows the launch of a new packaging design for the brand’s Supérieur Fine Champagne VSOP Cognac, which uses lighter materials.
