Sea Arch sells minority stake

Alcohol-free ‘spirit’ producer Sea Arch Drinks has sold a minority stake to businessman Patrick Doyle to fund its global expansion.

Sea Arch Drinks is targeting national and international expansion with the investment

Patrick Doyle, chief executive of International Diplomatic Supplies, has acquired a minority share of the business for an undisclosed sum.

Sea Arch Drinks was founded by Geoff and Sarah Yates, and currently produces alcohol-free ‘spirit’ Coastal Juniper.

Doyle said: “It is no secret that the no- and low-alcohol sector is growing worldwide. As a non-drinker, I have enjoyed some great alcohol-free beers but I’d tried several non-alcoholic ‘spirits’ and was generally disappointed. However, when I tasted my first glass of Sea Arch and tonic I was really impressed; in my opinion it is the best non-alcoholic botanical ‘spirit’ available.

“I asked Geoff and Sarah for a meeting to discuss an investment in the brand and I’m pleased to say that we have been able to reach an agreement. I’m very excited to be part of the growth of this great brand and am confident that my contacts and long-term relationships will open many doors for Sea Arch.”

Doyle has 30 years’ experience as a company director, including 24 years running International Diplomatic Supplies, a supplier of duty-free wines, beers and spirits. His investment in Sea Arch will help fund new brand extensions and innovations for the Devon-based company.

Sarah Yates, Sea Arch Drinks co-founder, said: “We’re really looking forward to working with Patrick and are excited about the opportunities, knowledge and contacts that he will bring.

“We were already confident that we had a quality product and brand, but to have his experience and expertise on the team too will allow us to really make the most of the growth opportunities on offer in the non-alcoholic drinks sector.”
