Amber Beverage names new Eastern Europe distributors
By Nicola CarruthersLuxembourg-based Amber Beverage Group has expanded its presence in Eastern Europe with new distribution partners in Hungary, Slovakia and Moldova.
The new Moskovskaya Pink vodka is available in more than 10 markets
In Hungary, Amber Beverage Group’s Moskovskaya Vodka will be distributed by e-commerce retailer Whisky Net in the off-trade and online. Amber Beverage Group said vodka is the third biggest category in the country.
“Consumers, now more than ever, are looking for original and authentic brands. Our rich history, combined with our work over the last few years rejuvenating the Moskovskaya Vodka brand – one of the oldest vodka brands in existence – is delivering results across the board,” said Walter Kooijman, ABG’s managing director of EMEIA and global travel retail.
“Our new communications campaign, social media activation, innovative packaging and clear and solid commercial strategy is creating high demand in existing and new markets.
“We have been able to launch our new innovative Moskovskaya Pink, for example, in over 10 new markets in the last six months alone. This also explains the new and increased interest in Moskovskaya from the Eastern European markets, an area where we have not been represented that well over the years, and where we see a huge potential for our key brands.”
In addition, online retailer Svet Nápojov will take on the distribution of herbal bitter Riga Black Balsam in Slovakia. The distributor will also add ABG’s Tequila brands Rooster Rojo and Kah to its portfolio.
Riga Black Balsam and Moskovakaya Vodka will also be distributed in Moldova through Vitafor.
Jānis Siliņš, regional sales director at ABG, said: “Eastern Europe and the Balkan region represent a big opportunity for ABG. The new distribution deals follow our appointment of Craft Spirits Bulgaria as ABG’s Bulgarian distributor last month and we are already in advanced discussions with partners to expand our distribution to all other markets in the region.”
Last month, ABG secured new retail listings for Cross Keys Gin, Rooster Rojo Tequila and Moskovskaya Vodka across Europe and Australia.
