Purity to ‘up its game’ in the US

Swedish spirits producer Purity is planning to “up its game” in the US by launching in five additional states this year.

Purity plans to expand its availability in the US

Purity currently produces organic vodka distilled 17, 34 or 51 times; an organic lower-ABV spritz; and three organic gins comprising Nordic Dry Gin, Old Tom Gin and Navy Strength Gin.

The planned expansion across the States this year will bring Purity’s availability up to a total of 18 states.

Purity will also launch its lower-ABV Purity Spritz and portfolio of Purity Gins in the US this spring.

The brand said it has “noticed a growing demand for organic spirits” and hoped to increase its reach in the US as a result.

Mathias Tönnesson, chief spirit officer at Purity, said: “Our key driver, as a small family-owned distillery, has always been to be kind to mother nature by getting more consumers to start drinking organic spirits.

“We can now see a change in purchase patterns from traditional vodka to organic vodka in the latest Nielsen data, which of course benefits us being one of the top sellers of organic vodka in the US.

“For that specific reason, we have decided to up our game in the US market. We now have more than 20 sales agents. This allows us to both create jobs and, of course, create a greater reach to consumers that demand organic and handcrafted spirits in the US.”

The Swedish distiller launched its Nordic Dry Gin, Old Tom Gin, Navy Strength Gin and Purity Spritz earlier this year, following a 12-month development process.
